Quite possibly the most well-known team in the Dota 2 world today, OG shocked fans with a massive unexpected victory at TI8. If that wasn’t enough, the Western European team surprised the world once again when they defended their title successfully at TI9, making them back-to-back champions and the team with the highest winnings in history.

While few teams can boast the honor of being a TI champion, only one team can claim to do it twice with the same roster to boot! Team OG holds that accolade while also being the only team to become back-to-back TI champions, winning the prestigious annual event consecutively in 2018 and 2019.

With various iterations throughout the years, LGD Gaming has been at every TI event since TI2 back in 2012. The team has always put up a good showing, including being the runner-ups in 2018 and 2021. Unfortunately, the team has never held up the Aegis before, maybe 2024 will finally be their year?

The creation of OG in 2015 led to a slow start at the beginning. However, the team quickly picked up speed with the additions of Miracle-, and later ana, to win four Majors between 2016-2017. After a short spell as two-time TI champions, the new iteration of OG won another Major in 2022, making them the only team holding five Major wins.

Team Liquid has made it through several Majors to reach the grand finals. Unfortunately, they came up short, making nine separate tournament finals but not winning any of them. The only Major that Team Liquid won was China Dota 2 Supermajor in 2018.

Despite TI10 boasting the largest prize pool in all of esports history, the winners of the previous two consecutive tournaments have earned even more prize money. OG took home the lion’s share of the $25 million and $34 million prize pools by winning TI8 and TI9 respectively.

LGD Gaming holds the record for the most professional games played in Dota 2 history. With its 62.57% winrate, LGD Gaming has played 2813 games throughout its decade-and-a-half-long Dota 2 history.

LGD Gaming also holds the record for winning the most professional games compared to any other team in Dota 2 history. Throughout their several iterations, LGD Gaming has won 1760 games with a 62.57% winrate in their professional existence.

G2.IG holds a winrate of 56.86% as a team on the professional scene. However, this translates to a lot of losses for the team, with 1047 losses out of 2427 games in their long-standing professional history.

OG’s strongest period in the DPC was a stretch of 10 months between June 2016 – April 2017. In these months, OG won every Major with 11 wins in the Manila Major 2016, 11 wins in the Boston Major 2016, and 12 wins in the Kiev Major 2017. With 34 wins and 3 Major championships, OG lost to LGD Gaming in the lower bracket of The International 2017.

Under Puppey’s leadership, Team Secret is the best performing team on the professional scene when it comes to teamfights. This is supported by the team’s 25.97 average kills per game in the professional scene with 1786 games played.

For a team whose playstyle revolved entirely around teamfights, it would come as no surprise that OG also holds the record for the most average deaths per game. As of today, OG averages 25.31 deaths per game out of 1566 games played on the professional scene.

On the other hand, OG’s teamfight prowess has led them to a whopping 58.77 assists per game in their 1566 games played on the pro scene. This is closely followed by Team Secret’s 58.24 assists per game out of 1786 games played.

A record that has never been beaten yet, Elephant took a whopping 154,000 gold lead against EHOME. This feat was achieved during the China Dota 2 Pro Cup Season 2 held in November 2020 and no professional team has ever come close to beating it since then
